Charles "Chuck" Cilibraise graduated from Sheridan High School in 1957. He received three varsity letters in football for the Redskins as a member of the 1955 MCAA championship team and Coaches Award recipient. He was team captain in 1956 and also the fifth leading scorer in conference that season. He was part of the first Sheridan team to win the "Battle of the Red Bull" trophy against the team's arch-rival, the Stanton Rams. Cilibraise was also a part of the 1955 MCAA championship baseball team where he played outfield and catcher. He amassed four varisty letters in baseball, and had a four year batting average of .342 which prompted him to get a tryout with the Detroit Tigers. Cilibraise also received two varsity letters in basketball in 1956 and 1957.


Cilibraise continued his athletic career at Olivet College lettering in football all four years and also receiving one varsity letter as a member of the baseball team. On the gridiron he was elected team captain three times and also was named MIAA Honorable Mention three times. He was the third leading rusher in the MIAA his senior year and had a tryout with the Toronto Argonauts. Olivet College inducted him into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1977.

Chuck returned to Sheridan High School as a teacher and coach where as head football coach he won the final "Battle of the Red Bull" game before the Sheridan and Stanton merger and also won a conference title coaching junior high basketball. After the Stanton and Sheridan merger in 1963, Cilibraise taught at Central Montcalm until 1968 and served as the district's first varsity football coach, helping lead the team to the first conference championship in school history in 1966 and also a baseball championship in the spring of 1966.

Cilibraise then became a coach/athletic director at Pennfield High School (1968-1972), Olivet High School (1972-1977), Olivet College (1977-1980), and Athens High School (1980-1983) before returning to Central Montcalm (1983-1995). Cilibraise continued to coach football and also coached track for the Hornets before eventually serving as a Vice Principal and Principal for the district prior to his retirement.
